It is one problem not to boot to SL from the hard drive and another if you can't boot to SL from your boot cd. So to boot from the hard drive boot0 is written to the MBR as per the instructions. boot1h and "boot" are written to the partition you are going to boot from and it should be marked active. It's no good to have those written to a partition that you are not booting from. So if you can boot SL, use Finder to see the Chameleon boot files on the hard drive; what partition are they in? You might have to enable ShowAllFiles which shows hidden files. I didn't use iatkos, so I have a 100 mb EFI partition which is marked active.
You can also do the standard OSX update to 10.5.8. Once the computer reboots, boot from the iatkos installation, uncheck the main system option in customize and reinstall the options above to have a working installation that is on 10.5.8. It may error out at the end saying cannot make start up disk, but ignore that.
IATKOS V7.1 - RC2
Installed with iAtkos v7. Comes with 10.5.7 out of the box. With the default selection plus the following package selection, video and audio work out of the box:Vanilla kernel, Apple Decrypter, Sata AHCI, Laptop battery, Vodoo HDA driver, NVEnabler (QE enabled automatically).iAtkos V7 is a lot improved. Spanish tutorial I made: -hackintosh-mac-os-x-1057-iatkos-v7-amd-e-intel/
Excellent OSX machine. Toughest part is getting the "goddamn" Broadcom BCM4311 WiFi to work. Will need LAN until working. The steps I followed are outlined above. You will absolutely need Chun-Nan's Cardbus extension available from iatkos install options. Things still didn't work for me until I did the OSXTools install & hardware probe as noted above.
Added: Also dont use v7.1 or RC2 and when customizing install add the PS2 keyboard and mouse drivers. And when adding AppleYukon.kext look for the normal one as AppleYukon2.kext does not work. I have tried all of this setup on a VGN-NR21 J/S which is identical machine. 2ff7e9595c
